Procurement Manager Cyril Sevin, Casteljaloux, France
Cyril Sevin works in the wood processing unit of Finnforest France in Casteljaloux in southwest France. He is responsible for procuring wood and coordinating raw material flows as well as for intensifying the use of by-products, such as bark, woodchips and sawdust. He is also in charge of logistics and managing the Pan European Forest Certification scheme PEFC.
Cyril visits forest estates, checks timber volumes and purchases wood. "There are several types of wood sales, like stumpage sales, roadside deliveries or mill deliveries. We buy large volumes of timber as stumpage sales annually. High-quality raw material is the key element of Finnforest’s end products," says Cyril.
