Master-Q® LVL (known as Kerto-Q in Europe) is a second-generation, cross-ply LVL. One-fifth of the veneers are glued crosswise, improving lateral bending strength and stiffness. Master-Q is well-suited to applications where high shear strengths are a necessity. Because of its acoustical qualities, it is an ideal panel for large special structures such as theaters and concert halls. Available in thicknesses from 3/4" to 2-3/4".
Finnforest Thermowood® is a unique insect and weather-resistant product that is available in several standard lumber sizes, decking profiles and siding profiles. It can be used in exterior and interior applications because no chemicals are used in the treatment process. A precise combination of time and temperature actually cooks out the resins in the wood and closes the cellular structure.
The result is a lighter, stronger, naturally insect and decay resistant product that can be sealed with a clear sealer to maintain its natural dark brown color; allowed to weather to a silver gray with exposure to UV light; or coated with a variety of surface coatings.
